Advantage Sports
Terms of Use
Effective October 8, 2026.
1. Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Advantage Sports, Inc. ("Advantage", "we", "us") about using the Advantage app. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must read these terms with you and agree to them for you. Parents and guardians: by letting your child use Advantage, you agree to these terms for them and for yourself, and you're responsible for their use of the app.
2. Who can use Advantage
- Players must be at least 13.
- Coaches must be at least 18 and must have the permission of their club, school or team, where one is involved, to coach the players they add.
- Give accurate information when you sign up, including your birth year, and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens in your account; tell us straight away at help@advantagesports.io if you think someone else is using it.
- One person per account. Don't create an account for someone else or share yours.
3. Training safely
Advantage teaches how to read the game and how to perform skills. Soccer is a physical sport, and practicing it, including the drills in the app, carries a risk of injury.
- Practice only in a safe place, with the right equipment and, for younger players, an adult around. Diving, tackling and heading drills should be done with a coach.
- Warm up first, and stop if something hurts.
- If you take a knock to the head or have any sign of a concussion, stop, tell an adult, and don't play or train again until a medical professional clears you.
- Lessons about sleep, food, recovery and the mental side of the game are general education. They aren't medical, nutrition or mental-health advice; talk to your doctor, athletic trainer or coach about your own situation.
- If you're struggling or thinking about hurting yourself, tell a trusted adult. In the US you can call or text 988 at any time, or call 911 in an emergency.
By using the drills, you (and, for a player under 18, your parent or guardian) accept the ordinary risks of soccer training.
4. Coaches, teams, sessions and messages
Advantage gives coaches tools to follow their players' progress, assign lessons, take session bookings and send messages. Coaches who use the app are independent: they aren't Advantage employees unless we say so, and Advantage doesn't supervise their sessions. A booking in the app reserves a time; the session itself is between the player, the coach and any club involved.
Coaches agree to:
- follow the safeguarding rules that apply to them, including their club's or governing body's rules for working with minors;
- keep every message with a player professional and about soccer, and follow those rules on including a parent or another adult in messages with a player under 18;
- not ask players for personal contact details or to move conversations off the app without a parent's knowledge;
- report suspected abuse to the authorities as the law requires.
Anyone can report a concern about a coach, a player or a message to help@advantagesports.io. We may look into it, remove content, and suspend or close accounts. Where someone may be in danger, call 911.
5. Rules for using the app
Don't use Advantage to:
- bully, harass, threaten or embarrass anyone, or send sexual, hateful or violent content;
- pretend to be someone else, or lie about your age or role;
- share someone else's personal information without their permission;
- break the law or help someone else break it;
- copy, scrape, resell or republish the lessons, or use them to build a competing product or train an AI model;
- get into accounts or parts of the system you aren't meant to reach, or interfere with how the app works.
If you break these rules, we may remove content and suspend or close your account.
6. Our lessons and your content
Ours. The lessons, diagrams, exams, videos, design, name and logo in Advantage belong to Advantage or the people we license them from. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use them in the app for your own training, or, for coaches, to train the players on your team. That right ends when your account closes.
Yours. Messages and anything else you add stay yours. You let us store, show and process them only as needed to run the app for you and the people you're talking to.
Ideas. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we can use them freely, without owing you anything.
7. The pilot, fees and changes
The pilot. Advantage is in an early pilot. Some features may be unfinished, change or stop working, and lessons may be revised. There's no charge to use the app during the pilot. If your club arranges the pilot with us, any fees are set out in that separate agreement. If we start charging, we'll show the price and the terms of payment before you're asked to pay, and nothing you've done before then will be charged.
Changes to the app. We may add, change or remove features or lessons. If we stop offering Advantage altogether, we'll try to tell you in advance.
Ending your account. You can delete your account at any time under Me → Delete account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk or exposes us to legal liability; where it's safe and lawful, we'll tell you why. Sections 6 (ideas), 8 and 9 still apply after an account closes.
8. Disclaimers and limits on liability
The app is provided "as is". We work hard to make the lessons accurate and safe, but we don't promise that the app will always be available, error-free or right for your situation, or that it will improve your results, earn you a place on a team or lead to a college opportunity. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties not stated in these terms, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limits on liability. To the extent the law allows, Advantage isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data or opportunities, arising from the app. Our total liability for any claim about the app is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US $100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, such as liability for gross negligence, intentional misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Coaches. If you're a coach, you'll cover Advantage's reasonable losses and legal costs from claims that arise from your coaching, your messages or your breach of these terms.
9. Disputes, app stores, changes and contact
Disputes. If you have a problem with Advantage, email us first; most things can be sorted out quickly. If we can't resolve it within 30 days, either of us can take it further. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and disputes go to the state or federal courts in San Francisco County, California, except that either of us may bring a claim in small claims court.
Apple App Store. If you got Advantage from Apple's App Store:
- these terms are between you and Advantage, not Apple, and Advantage alone is responsible for the app, its content, support and maintenance;
- if the app doesn't meet a warranty that applies, you can tell Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app;
- Advantage, not Apple, is responsible for any claim about the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection, and claims that the app infringes someone's intellectual property;
- you confirm you aren't in a country under a US government embargo or on a US list of prohibited or restricted parties;
- you'll follow any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, such as your wireless carrier's;
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Google Play. If you got Advantage from Google Play, Google Play's terms also apply to your download.
Changes to these terms. If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top and, for an important change, tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Advantage after that, the new terms apply.
Everything else. If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term right away doesn't mean we give it up. You can't transfer your account or these terms; we may transfer them to a company that takes over Advantage.
