Who we are and who can use Advantage
Advantage is a soccer training app made by Advantage Sports, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Advantage", "we", "us"). It teaches players through short lessons and lets them work with a coach. This policy explains what information the Advantage app collects, why, who can see it and the choices you have. It applies to the app on iPhone and Android, to any web version we offer, and to our website, advantagesports.io.
Advantage is for players and coaches who are 13 or older. When you start, the app asks for your birth year. If you are under 13, the app shows a "not yet" screen and does not create an account or send anything to us. The only thing kept is a note on that phone that the age check was not passed, so the screen stays the same if you try again. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we delete it.
What we collect
We collect only what the app needs to teach you, track your progress and connect you with your coach. Most of it you give us directly; the rest is created as you use the app.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera, payment details, or advertising identifiers. The app has no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking tools.
Our website. If you sign up for the pilot on advantagesports.io, we get the name, email address, role, position and club you enter, and use them only to contact you about the pilot. The website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser shares your IP address with Google when the page loads. The website has no analytics or advertising trackers.
How we use it
We use your information to:
- create and run your account and sign you in;
- show the lessons for your program and age group, and save your progress across devices;
- let your coach see your progress, assign lessons, take bookings and message you;
- send the reminders and alerts you turned on;
- send tips and news by email, only if you opted in;
- answer your questions and fix problems;
- keep the app safe, stop misuse and meet our legal obligations.
We never sell your information, never share it for targeted advertising, and never use it to build advertising profiles. We don't use your information to train artificial-intelligence models.
Who can see it
Your coach. When you join a team with its code, that team's coach can see your name, birth year, age group and program, your lesson and exam results and when you last practiced, and the lessons, bookings and messages between the two of you. Other players can't see your information, and you can't see theirs. To leave a team, email us at help@advantagesports.io and we'll remove you.
Companies that run the app for us. These providers process information only to provide their service to us, under contracts that limit how they use it:

When you choose to share. If you tap "Add to calendar" after booking a session, the app opens Google Calendar with the session's time and title. What happens next is covered by Google's privacy policy.
When the law or safety requires it. We may share information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or to investigate misuse of the app. If Advantage is merged with or sold to another company, your information may move to that company, and this policy will keep applying to it unless you're told otherwise.
Players under 18 and their parents
Most players on Advantage are teenagers, so we ask players under 18 to go through this policy with a parent or guardian.
A parent or guardian can email us to ask what information we hold about their child, to correct it, or to delete the account. We'll ask for enough detail to confirm the request comes from the player's parent or guardian before we act on it.
If you're under 18 and live in California, you can ask us to remove messages or other content you posted in the app. Email us, or delete your account to remove it all. Removing content doesn't guarantee that copies someone else made are gone.
Your choices
- See or correct your information. You can change your age group under Me → Age group. For anything else, email us and we'll send you a copy or fix it.
- Delete your account. Go to Me → Delete account. This permanently deletes your account straight away, with your progress, assignments, bookings and the messages in your conversations. A coach who deletes their account also deletes their team; the players keep their own accounts.
- Emails. Every tips-and-news email has an unsubscribe link, or you can email us. Emails you need to use your account, like sign-in emails, still come.
- Notifications. Turn reminders off under Me → Reminders, or turn off notifications for Advantage in your phone's settings.
- Privacy rights where you live. Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what we hold, get a copy, correct it, delete it, and opt out of its sale or use for targeted advertising (we do neither). Email us to make a request; we'll answer within the time the law sets, and we won't treat you differently for asking.
- Do Not Track. We don't track you across other apps or websites, so we don't change anything in response to Do Not Track signals.
Keeping your information safe
How long we keep it. We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account, it's deleted from our live systems straight away. Copies in our backups are overwritten within 30 days. Support emails are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. We may keep a record for longer when the law requires it.
How we protect it. Information travels between the app and our servers encrypted. Our database checks every request, so a player can reach only their own information and a coach only that of players on their team. Only a small number of Advantage staff can reach the database, and only to run the service. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we'll tell you as the law requires.
Where it's stored. Our servers are in the United States. If you use Advantage from another country, your information is moved to and stored in the United States.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information we already have, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
